  • Is there some minimum value of an item that you will consider lending against?

In most cases, PawnUp.com will only loan against items that will have an estimated resale value of at least $500. What is the "estimated resale value"? It is the amount of money one expects to receive if selling an item on the "open market" at the particular moment of time, and is different from the cost to purchase the item new. If you are not sure about your item's worth, feel free to complete our online application, providing as much detail as possible in the description of each item, and we will assist you in evaluating your item's approximate resale value.
  • But how can I tell if my item is made of precious metal?

Easily! 99.9% of the items made from precious metals carry a small stamp, located on the inside of rings (or on the clasp if it is a chain or an earring). The common stamps indicate 10kt, 14kt, 18kt, 416, 585 or 750. If you are unable to locate such stamp but you really believe that you have an item of a significant value, feel free to complete our online application, providing as much detail as possible in the description of each item, and we'll help you to determine your item's approximate resale value.
  • Does it matter if my items are broken, in need of repair, or out of style?

For items such as luxury watches, the best value loans will be given to those which are in working order and have original packaging. However, for jewelry and precious metals or precious stones, the amount of the loan is determined based on the weight and quality of the item. In such cases, broken or incomplete items are deemed acceptable.
  • Great. Now, how do I send my items to you?

PawnUp.com uses FedEx to ship your items. When it comes time to ship your item(s), a PawnUp.com Customer Service Representative will contact you by phone or email to arrange for the pickup and delivery of your package. And of course, there are no shipping fees whatsoever.

  • How do you calculate the loan amount?

To put it simply, all loans are based on the item's resale value estimate. Such estimated resale value, however, is not based on the "replacement value" of the item. It is based on how much the item could be sold for in the current market.
  • How does PawnUp.com evaluate jewelry and watches?

PawnUp.com calculates the resale value of your jewelry item or a watch as being the greater of either the scrap value of the precious metals, gemstones, etc. or the estimated resale value of the item.
  • Can you tell me how you determine the interest rate of the loan?

Depending on the loan amount, PawnUp.com charges from 2% to 10% per month on its loans.
  • Sounds great, what if I would like to pay my loan back earlier?

No problem! You may settle your loan at any time. The moment the loan is paid (along with applicable interest) and the funds have cleared, your valuables will be returned to you at no cost.
  • What about the partial payments? Can I make those?

Yes, PawnUp.com does accept partial payments! If you decide to make a partial payment the total loan amount will be reduced accordingly and PawnUp.com will only charge future interest on the outstanding portion of the original loan amount.
  • What if I would like to extend the duration of my loan?

Easy! PawnUp.com regularly provides loan extensions, and at no charge to their customers. Since the majority of the loan extension requests get approved, in such cases our customers will simply need to pay back the interest accrued at the end of the original term. Upon approval by PawnUp.com, a new loan agreement will then be provided in order to reflect your loan extension.
  • Can I change my mind about getting a loan?

Once we receive and appraise your items, Pawnup.com will conduct a detailed evaluation and will provide you with a loan offer. This offer shall include the full details of terms and conditions, as well as the interest rates. At this point, you will have the option to make a choice whether to accept the loan or not. Should you choose to decline our offer, your items shall be returned to you free of charge.
